Normally when you uninstall a program like that there are additional area's on the computer where it is still located. You will need to do a search and find all files and folders that say McAfee and manually remove them. Then you will need to do a reg sweep to get rid of the rest of the problem.

I hate to tell people to do a registry sweep so before you do it download a program and be sure to read exactly what you are doing before using it. If you mess up the registry ERUNT can restore it but you will need to read on how to restore the backup file.

    http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/

To edit the registry you will need to go to Start -> Run and type regedit

Now go to Edit-> Find and type Mcafee. Be sure that the only items that you remove are McAfee items. A few may not be removed because of the system trying to use them, but you should be able to get rid of the problem that you are having. Good luck and be sure to backup your registry and know how to restore it before you begin.
