I have heard people say that mdf is an Alcohol file, yet when you use Alcohol's "Image Finder" mdf is not listed as an Alcohol file. My mdf is 856,294 KB, I have a 1KB mds file for it, but when I use the mds file to burn with Alcohol vs 1.9.2, I get a coaster, a disc that is seen as empty by my drive. What gives
.MDF is an Alcohol image file but, sorry, a .MDF needs its .MDS file (like .CUE/.BIN) and the .MDS file is not ASCII like a .CUE: you cannot write a new one from zero. Maybe searching from where you got the .MDF? _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Read forum rules! http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2487[/small]
I would like to know is there any program out there that can rip out the contents of these .mdfs like ISOBUSTER does for .bin & .CUE files? I want to be able to physically check the contents before burning to a disc. TIA BC
You can just mount the files with DaemonTools of course there isnt really a need to do so because MDS/MDF files are typically made by people who know what they're doing
ok can you use neros burning for this? or do i need a diffrent burning program? i just got 2 mdfs and 2 mds's files and i need to know how to burn them on to a cd so let me know thanks
