Ok So, I have an MDF file it is 3.5 gigs, I want to put it on a DVD. When researching how to burn it to a DVD I keep hearing about stuff about the mds file and alcohol 120% and MagicIso.

The problem is I don't know what the mds file is. Is it a file that was supposted to come with it? Or where do I get it? Aswell, to burn it using Alcohol or Magiciso seems easy enough, but the file is too big to burn using the trail versions.

I extracted the contents of the MDF using winrar. But I dont know what to do now. Should I burn the extracted files to dvd? If so how?

Well the MDF file is an image of a comp game that my friend scratched up way to hardcore. So, he is trying to get me a back uped copy and all he gave me was this MDF file that I don't know what to do with.

Any Help is accreciated thanks in advanced.

As you said yourself a .MDS file is an image. Alcohol will do a terrific job..but costs

For a free burning program try ImgBurn. Select the "write image to disk" button then point to the file...insert your media in drive then Slow the burn speed down to half the rated speed of the media you use.... and press the go button. Dead simple.

A link to the ImgBurn webpage http://www.imgburn.com/
