    OK so here's the story.

I have a dual boot with Windows XP(32 bit) and Ubuntu 7.04(64 bit). I just updated to 7.04 a few days ago.

    Here are my specs.
    AMD Athlon X2 4200+ 2.2Ghz
    PC Chips A13G Micro ATX
    AENEON AMPO 1GB DDR-2 667MHZ PC-5400
    Maxtor 60GB(Windows boot/Linux "/" & Linux swap)
    Western Digital IDE 250GB(Videos etc.)
    Western Digital SATA II 160GB (Storage/Linux /home)
    nVidia Ge-Force 7300GS 256MB

During the week or so before i had this problem i got errors in windows saying that my virtual memory was low. I was wondering, Does Windows make a swap partition, and if so could i have accidentally deleted it in the Ubuntu installation?

A couple days after those errors i got a BSOD, and from then on whenever i try to boot to Windows, it brings up the Safe Mode, Start Windows Normally, Last Known Config screen. Whenever i use Start Normally, or last know config, the computer just reboots. Whenever i try to boot into safe mode the computer freezes at Mup.sys.

I have been able to boot into Ubuntu but i have noticed it has been very sluggish and has been freezing a lot.

I was reading about Mup.sys and most things led to a problem in the RAM so i did a test with MemTest86, which is on the GRUB screen, and it said there was an error.

So is this a problem with my memory and will new RAM fix this? BTW i am getting 2x1GB if it is.
