Hi, I recently tried to transfer some mp3 files to my memory stick to plug into my home theater system, but found they were corrupt. After investigation I found the file became corrupt when I unplugged from my pc. Looking at the the properties it appears a lot of the data has gone awol!

    Any ideas anyone?

Corruption on a USB stick suggests a hardware problem. Back up and replace.

Yup, hardware or driver problem. Drivers have been known to corrupt data.

Yeh, I removed it 'safely'. There are mp3 files that have been on there a while, and they are ok it seems to be a new problem. Sounds like I need a new stick. Thanks everyone.

How old us your USB key and what kind? Those things tend to have a short read/write life - the cheaper ones that is. Always corrupting data, or losing it.
