Can anyone please tell where to find the memory bank of my Dell inspiron 2650 laptop? I can only see one slot with 128mb which can be replaced easily. My laptop can take maximum memory 0f 512 mb PC2100. Called tech support and told me the other 128 is hidden somewhere inside and would not tell the location. They have to replace them. Also, can I install 512 by itself only or do I need a pair of 256?
    Thank you.

how much ram do you have on your system? ususally both ram sticks are in same area so that the address lines are close together. take the visible 128meg out to see if the laptop will post with remaining(?) ram.

well u dont need to pull that mem to find out if theres more installed all u have to do is check how much memory is listed in System Properties.. if there more then 128 do the math and just add a dimm that will get u too or close to 512... if u only got 128 u can just stick a 512 in there where the 128 use to be... pairs r not needed
