OK, so I bought a new DVD player for my sons room (drastic measures eh!) to prove im not going mad. Ive created a wonderful VCD with 4 slide shows and a fab menu. The problem is this. When I play it in my sony i get the message "no disk". That i can live with cos Sony are crap. When I attempt to play it on my aiwa DVD player all i get is the Menu screen but I cant navigate through the menu or play any (i get no entry signs). Finally, when i play it on my sons new cheapo Prism DVD Player it kicks straight into the slideshows, bypassing my wonderfull menu screen!!! Any help would be great!
Try different media. If you use crappy cd's the results are variable. I burned some dvd movies on cheap media, they played fine on my friend's supercheap player but some of them didn't play on my dad's not-so-cheap player.
