i have just started ripping and copying dvd's, which is going well thanks to everyone's help, but i now want to put menu's at the start of the dvd rather than the film auto playing, i have seen this on other copies and would like to do so myself.
    Any help would be appreciated.

do you mean your own menu, or the original menu?

Either, I just want a start menu to stop the auto play function so i can select when to play the film once loaded into the dvd player

Just use one of the many DVD compressors. DVD2One, DVD95Copy, DVDShrink, etc etc.

I do the following to keep the original menus.

Rip using DVD decrypter- select everything
    DVD2one in full disc mode
    burn using RecordNow (or Nero)

I usually do it slightly different. I rip and compress with DVD Shrink. With this i am able to Compress the extras as stills, because i dont use them, compress the menus at around 40% because quality doesnt matter here, and then burn with record now max.

Here is a DVD Shrink Tutorial:

Oriphus, I use dvd shrink but is there a way that I can delete the extras folder rather than select compress as stills when selecting the full disc option? When I use the re-author selection it obviously only selects the main film and I like to have the menu option at the start of the film, any advise would be great.
