I'm not sure if batch would do the job- pick the AVI button and when it asks you for the inputs just select both (it is possible) select an output under a different name and then convert. That should do the job.

    [bold]Alternative Method[/bold]
Download VirtualDubMod and go to File-->Open and then open the first part of your video.
Then go to File-->Appen Segment... and locate the second AVI file.
Finally go to File-->Save As and save the finished file (different name, no overwriting).

Hope all that helped- just never overwrite the files when merging since you need them to actually merge.

In batch convert, after you select two files, you may get this window "Any to XX".Pay attention to that. You can find an option"For source file",then select "Merge into one..." which you like. That will be ok.
