Odd question but I have nowhere else to ask. Are mic goosenecks made in different stiffness's? I ask because I need to use it to hold and extend a 5 inch glass magnifier. The total weight is probably under a pound. Lamp goosenecks are not stiff enough. Would a 12 inch long support its own weight plus glass? All advice welcome. Thanks.
i think you should be all right.some mikes are a pound or so.the trick is getting a short enough one.time to go to your local music store.
