what happeneds if i sell activated copy of microsoft office 2007 professional? Is that allowed? Can i UNactive it? I mean i payed $400 i should be able to sell it if i want to.
just uninstall and sell it. it's your property; as long as you sell it in it's entirety (meaning nothing left on your PC), M$ has nothing to complain about.
you sure, cause when i active online doesn't that like RECORD my IP address and stuff? I"m just trying to make sure.
ummm, they're not tracking you like that, buddy. again, you're *fine*. if you've uninstalled it, sell the damn thing.
just that you've activated it. when you reformat your pc, you have to reactivate. they don't constantly monitor you. i'm too sick to try to convince you. it's fine to sell the thing. if that can't get into your head, you need to see a shrink because you're one paranoid little loony and that means a lot coming from one (me).
I'm sorry but i do not want to go to jail. I can sell this and if buyer can't active they'll call microsoft and I'll go to jail. Which i do not want to do. I"m just trying to make sure 100% that it's ok.
they'll be able to activate. if you don't believe me, uninstall it from your pc and try it on another. it will work fine.
should i lie and say it never been activated? I know someone will ask me that question. Sorry to be paranoid. trying to be safe.
Just tell the truth. It's perfectly OK to sell software you have bought and activated, as long as you remove it from your computer completely and don't keep a copy. If you have made a backup disk (which you are also allowed to do) you must either destroy it or pass that to the purchaser with the original. As long as you include all packaging and the printed licence (which inclused the key) then if the buyer has any problems with activation they can contact M$ and get it sorted out. Just so you know.. We sell all sorts of second-hand software in the shop, and never have any problems. It's yours, you paid for it, so you have the right to sell it.
