hey dont know if this is the write forum for this question but aanyway ive recently bought a Microsoft Remote Control w/Receiver for Windows XP Media Center but it came with no instructions does anyone know where i can get them from online ive tried microsft website but nothing on there basicly i wanted to know how to get it to work with my tv as well as the pc i have cheers for any info
"using the remote control learning functionality notes: by default, the VOL+ and - buttons on the remote control system volume on computer, and the TV button has no command assigned until it "learns" one. to program buttons on remote using learning feature: 1: place remote head to head (2-3 inches apart [5-7.5 centimeters. lol}) with the remote control from which it is learning. 2: on the MCE remote, press and hold DVD MENU and OK buttons at same time until remote light turns off (2 sec) remote is now in learning mode 3: on MCE remote, press and release button you want to learn (ie: TV, VOL +, VOL -). MCE remote light blinks once. 4: on teaching remote (ie: your tv remote) press and hold button you want to teach (ie: on, vol, so on). MCE remote blinks twice to confirm. if MCE remote did not learn, light blinks 4 times. start over. 5 repeat steps 1-4 for other commands." hope this helps.
