Hi all I have looked around the site for a thread that would help me decide which format to choose for new camcorder in the $300 range mini dv or one that records video to a SD card. The camcorder would be used mostly for home videos. my previous camcorder was mini dv which was fine but dumping to the computer and dvd was time consuming and I figured with the new sd card cameras the process would be faster. If this question has been asked and answered I apologies and would appreciate a nudge in the right direction, and if my premise is off please let me know. Thanks
I decided to go with the Sony mini dv. from what i have gleened from around the net the recorders that use sd cards have some drawbacks in image quality and ease of dumping to computer and dvd. Thanks
