I hope im in the right forum. If not I am sorry. I have a Canon mini DVD camcorder and I can watch the disks on my computer and on my regular dvd player but I can not copy my disks onto my computer. If I want to add video that I took of my kids to my computer to send to family I can't seem to do it. Are there any programs that I can use to do this. I am begining to think that purchasing a mini DVD camcorder was a poor idea. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

It is not completely untrue that it was not a good idea to buy a DVD camcorder. Editing DVD's is still a pain in the a**.
An option is to first convert it to a format that is easier to edit and then encode it again to MPEG-2 for DVD authoring.
