RoXio is Not what you need....If you are useing your DV camcorder as a Digital converter for your Analogue Hi8 material then you will need some Capture software that can capture from a Firewire input, I suppose you could even use something like Windows Movie Maker accept do not use the WMV format in the Export options choose to export the captured files as DV AVI files... After you have captured the material to DV AVI format you will need to convert the DV AVI files to Mpeg2/DVD format useing a Good Quality mpeg encoder Like Tmpgenc or the MainConcept Encoder... After you have converted your files to Mpeg2/DVD you will need a DVD authoring Program to Put the Movies on to DVD with menu"s and Chapters, I recomend DVDLab because it is easy to use and will allow you to make totally simple DVD"s or more complex DVD"s, after this you are Done and can watch your DVD on TV....Cheers
