Hello friends, I'm new to this forum and BRAND new to burning back-ups of my DVDs. I bought DVD X Copy Platinum yesterday as a download (no documentation was included!.. no readme - I guess i'm supposed to use mental telepathy to learn about the function(s) of the software) Question: I have only been successful in burning a backup using the "simple mode" and the backup does NOT include any menus or even any special features like trailers etc.. I am suspecting that the button labelled "entire disc" would give me all of these extras if i pushed it, but whenever I attempt to do a backup with that option selected, I get an error (prog. immed. asks me for blank DVD media without ever copying the disc first). So does anybody know how to accmplish this complete duplication of a disc in DVD X Copy Platinum? BTW, the advanced mode NEVER has worked for me. I get that same error every time I attempt ANY backup in advanced mode (prog. immed. asks me for blank DVD media without ever copying the disc first). Thanks for any/all help. You might have better luck in the DVDXcopy forum: http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com IMHO- DVDXcopy is a piece of poop. I much prefer my own method for backing up: DVD Decrypter to rip DVD2one to compress Record Now to burn. There's a basic guide in my signature.
