    Hi peeps

My son had to format his PC and change his PSU and since doing it he cant get any sound to work? There is no Windows boot up tune or any sound at all even though its all fully installed, the sound card and all its devices are showing in the Device manager and everything that plays music works asif there is music playing BUT there is just no sound coming from the speakers?

He has tried different speakers and the other holes in the back of pc with no luck. He has also made sure the "mute" is not ticked and all the sound options are maxed?

Its onboard sound and he used windows update to get the latest drivers which all installed ok?

    Any ideas would be great

    Thank you

He's not done something silly like selecting 'realtek HD Digital audio out' as opposed to 'realtek HD Audio out'? as the playback device has he?
