i have a Hp g60-120us laptop which has 2.00 GHz AMD Turion X2 RM-70 Dual-Core Mobile Processor,3072 MB memory with a NVIDIA GeForce 8200M graphic card. Everytime i have a mkv file with VLC or media player classic it freeze the video but the audio keeps on going, and i have to pause the movie for few mins and then i can start and its all sync again...what could be the problem? Any help...
I had the same problem with VLC, but media player classic in combination with ffdshow worked fine. You can choose various output renderes in media player classic under View/Options/Playback/DirectShow Video. Overlay Mixer should be the most powerful, but maybe you can try different ones and see whether one will work for you. Also ffdshow offers a variety of options to fiddle with.
