mkv files problems

    I have a video, that is in mkv format, I have downloaded VLC and the proper codecs to play it, and while it does play the video is too slow, the audio is on target but the video is too slow.

    what can i do?

    is there a way to convert it to avi, or wmv?

    Try MediaCoder.

    It works well for me. Just set the recording parameters and click on Start. Mediacoder can convert (almost) any audio/video file.
