I am currently trying to get a high-def .mkv file to run properly on my computer, the annoying part is that there is a approximate 300 ms delay on the sound throughout the movie. It's a non-issue with Media Player Classic, but i really dont fancy having several software players installed on my system just to be able to enjoy digital content. So: Is there any way/method/program that will help me get the audio synced up correctly on a permanent basis, so that i no longer need specialized programs everywhere i want to watch it? Note: I know this thread looks allmost alike to This One, but again,my quest is somewhat different. My hardware specs are: (in the case of them being relevant) AMD Athlon 64 3500+, 2GB ram, Nvidia GeForce 7600GT
Try this. VirtualDubMod can open and 'Save AS' MKV files. Load the file, click on Streams -> Stream List. Right-click on the stream and select Interleaving. In the bottom section of the dialogue, marked Audio Skew Correction, enter the number you found in MPC. Click OK, OK. On Video, click 'Direct Stream Copy' Click on File -> Save As, save a new, MKV file.
