.mkv files

Hello everyone I have been coming to these forums for a few months just finally registered because I have one question I have yet to find an answer for.I currently am trying to play a mkv file off my computer and it seems the video/audio are out of sync.The funny thing is if I were to skip ahead in the movie the audio fixes itself and within a couple of seconds it goes out of sync,if I were to skip to the part I just played that was out of sync it would be synced but then goes of out sync again. I have tried many players but they all do the same thing and I am running out of ideas. The best mkv player I have used so far without any problems except the audio is the divx player.The other players I have do not seem to give a nice clean picture and have this weird problem on the video and sometimes freezes at certain points.Does anyone know of a way to fix this problem?
