Try updating the version of the program you're running and also try playing the MKV files in WMP (right click open with "windows media player" ) WMP will say that it doesn't recognize the file type most likely but if it does tell it to try to play anyway. If it will play there then it's probably a problem with TCMP but their website does say the latest version comes with the haali media splitter, so like I said before, first try updating. If you still can't get it to play and don't mind using another program JUST for the MKV's then I would HIGHLY recommend VLC.

Thought that TCMP wasn't dshow based?

According to the website it should be..
however if it's not, then sanson06 will need a dshow based player, or a player with native support which the newest ver of tcmp has, and VLC also has.
