instead of using mkv2vob to transcode the video because that takes hours i have realized,is ther a program wher i can just convert the dts of my mkv file to ac3 5.1 and then convert all that (the mkv file and the ac3 5.1 file) using tsmuxer because that seems to transcode the video super quick compared to mkv2vob, and what program would i use to convert dts to ac3 5.1? and a tutorial would help if anyone can provide me with one, thanks in advance
If you are sure your video is compliant, just use mkv2Vob and choose not to transcode the video, only the audio. This would convert DTS to Ac3 if you want to go that route: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/eac3to
the video needs to be transcoded, i just dont want to do it thru mkv2vob, i want to transcode it thru tsmuxer but i need the dts 5.1 to be converted to ac3 5.1, wat would happen tho if i just didnt transcode the video? how do i kno for sure if it needs to be? im playing the m2ts files on my ps3, i played one that i didnt transcode the video and the picture was a lil grainy but that could have just been that video im not sure
You download MediaInfo and look at the video stream. Look up what the requirements are for the PS3(codec,Level, reference frames...) Post the info and some of the know how people might help you.
