I have uploaded some ringtones to my phone only to find that the data transfer can get rather expensive. I tried connecting my phone (Motorola V190) to my computer via USB cable. It appears to see the phone but when I try to connect to the phone it goes into the install proceedure and tells me to turn on the phone and plug in the USB. I appears to complete, but then gives me the same prompt. When I run the Mobile Phone Tools it doesn't look like it sees the phone. Any thoughts would be appreciated. BTW if it matters my carrier is Cellular One. Thanks
yes i have a thought, get mpt, forget every other thread that had mpt, this is the mpt download webbie, i just got it 2 nights ago and it works ---> http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6HHH2964 <---thats it its mpt, and it works its real easy to use just follow the directions if i was a better member and not a newb, i would have helped faster
dragon067 i know ur a newbie but sometimes newbie have more experience than any, trust me on that.... i could tell u that this MPT works gr8 with me,,, with no problems
I downloaded, unzipped and installed the application, but still cannot access the phone. When plugged in the software continues to show initializing on the graphic of the phone displayed on the monitor. I though maybe I was not allowing enough time for the phone to sync with the PC, but i did let it run for a while with no change.
After getting this message "unsupported format" no conversion, I decided to try the live update in the MPT application. That apparently was all I needed to do since I have now uploaded a couple of additional ringtone and wallpaper to the phone. Thanks all for the help and getting me thinking in the right direction.
