    Hey guys,

I have a digital camcorder which creates *.MOD files. I want to work with said files in After Effects (CS4) but it won't let me import them directly in. Therefore I use a conversion program (Prism Video Converter) however it always omits the sound.

    In essence:
is there a way I can get these files straight into AE OR
is there a good file converter that I can use that will leave the original quality in tact, including both sound and video?

    Thanks in advance!

An MOD file is essentially an Mpeg video file, just with a different container. The way I import them into After Effects is just by changing the extension from .MOD to .MPG
