    what is the best modchip that is solderless and is cheap to get.
    also what is the best place to buy a harddrive? cheap one good for the xbox?

    I wouldn't know of a chip that is solderless and cheap. Here is a list of ModChips that you can get, and some of them are pretty cheap. For HDD's you could try DealDetectives. They have HDD's posted on there for pretty cheap. I got a 200GB Maxtor HDD for $50 at Staples (no rebates or cashback). Just type in 200GB HDD in the search bar, and tons will pop up. Before you buy a HDD go to this. Type in the HDD you are thinking of buying, and you can see if it's compatabile with the xbox.
