Hi, I have recently(14th march)ordered three DS R4's from modchipfitters.com, I did not receive them as they were sold out,but they took the money out of my account, now the website has gone down(maintenance?) and no one answers the phones, and they dont reply to my emails, does any one know what is going on.
There have been reports of a bust in the area of there workshop but people seem to think it is just scare mongering.
I see this happened to them last year and someone from modchipfitters replied on these forums, I can hope they come across this post too :(

I don't think the bust is actually scaremongering. I think summat's gone down and as a result scaremongering has followed...

    My take on the it...

Well my advice is to wait and see what happens. I realise it's a pain but I'm sure in time ppl will get all the info eventually. Seeing as how actual facts are hazy it's no good jumping to conclusions and nobody can say what the status of modchipfitters actually is or how customers may be affected.

Speculation leads to rumour and rumour leads to misinformation and there's already enough hype being thrown out into the public arena by such as ELSPA.

Agree totally with that.. More than one of their affiliates are still up and may complete the order book on behalf of.

Never used them personally.. I always used the late lamented bald-bouncer or chipspain, who are still up for your chip/case/bling needs.

Lets wait a couple of weeks before writing them off.. though it's doubtful they will return to business if the raid was actually on their main base.(nothing proved there.. just guesswork/supposition.. they have always been a reputable supplier to the trade not a seller of fakes unlike the place raided??) If you paid through paypal it may be worth watching the dates and apply for a refund if the goods haven't arrived after 28 days... don't miss the 30 day limit ;) Most credit/debit cards have the same system.. but may not if what you were attempting to buy is seen as "illegal"... hehehe.. just some thoughts from a one time chip trader/installer.
