Modem or Router

    Hello guys I want to know if you can plug the ethernet cable straight into the modem or has to be in a router.

    And also i got two laptop everybody uses the internet, but when we use the Starview 7 at the same, the picture starts to get crazy. the picture stops and voice is playing or some times the video stops for a second or two.

    you need to use a router and for the problems you are having if you are dowloading from torrents this will happen as they rob all your bandwidth

    When I surfing the web, still the image is doing the problem is there a reason for this.

    Does has to be Virgin broadband or can we use other broadband to connect to the internet.

    you can use any broadband also other factors to consider do you pay for a sub for your tv or have you split your feed from your broadband supply if so your signal is not strong enough for both

    I have splinted the cable feed using four splitters but only one of them is free all the rest ar hook up one going to modem and one to the SV 7 the other is coming from that virgin white box.

    to many splitters m8 to be honest 1 split ==== 50% reduction work out the rest
