I have installed and now I am trying to use AVS Video Capture program. I'm wanting to convert my VHS tapes to DVDs.

When I click the .exe file, the screen goes black and it will do one of two things:
    reboot the computer .. or
    just sit there

I've tryed Ctrl,Alt,Del and just hitting escape. Nothing works until I hit the reset button and reboot the computer. Everything is fine when it reboots.

I really could use some ideas as to what could be causing this.
    Thanks

Dont know what could be causing these problems but why not try another capture program. There are many out there.
For example VirtualDub or VirtualVCR. Also many commercial products like Pinncacle, InterVideo Windvd Creator and many more.
