Mono files display a wrong timing in Nero Wave Editor

    I am using Nero 6.6.0.19 that cam bundled with my SONY DVD-Writer.

    I have a few mp3 files of old radio programs. They are mono files and if I open them in any player they show the correct timing which is just under 30 minutes. ut when I try to burn them on an Audio CD the timing shows as about 50 minues, which is also the case when I open them in Nero Wave Editor.

    Why does Nero have this discrepancy? How can I fix it?

    Are you using the same format, or changing them to stereo or some other variant of the original format?
