Recently I bought a Kingston 2GB Micro SD card with a T-Flash Card Reader to use it as a USB mass storage device and a device to use it in my Nintendo DS. When I first got it I downloaded some DS games and the operating system for it and transferred it over from my computer and was able to play just fine on my DS. Later I was at my mom’s and downloaded some DS games on her computer and transfer them over. It slipped my mind that these were .rar so after I transferred them I realized my mistake and went back and deleted them off my card. I then downloaded winrar, unzipped the games, and then attempted to transfer them back over. Two of the games transferred over fine, but the third gave me some crazy error message like ‘cyclical redundancy’ or something like that. After that I wasn’t able to transfer anything from the computer to the card. It started reading my card as a disc drive and demanding that I insert a disc. I hoped the problem was my mom’s computer, but I got home the problem persisted on my computer (the one I first used my card on without any trouble). I tried it on a third computer with the same problem. I’m still able to use the card to play games on my DS (even the two I managed to transfer over at my mom’s) but I can’t get any new ones. What happened? Am I screwed?
maybe not. have you try re-format the kingston? and then put back all the system files + games, that should do the trick.
I was afraid I might have to do that and lose my save files, but I haven't had any luck doing anything to it. How would I go about reformatting it at this point? It doesn't seem to let me. I'm also very concerned to find out why this happened in the first place. I'd hate to think any rom I download could destroy it all over again without warning. And I certainly hope there's an alternative to reformatting it... Thanks though.
