motorola dvr 6412

I recently purchased a Mitsubishi wd-52525 and was going to hook my moto to it via fire wire or DVI to HDMI but they have not activated the ports.
So i'm stuck just using RGB ports cause there are not any vertical/horizontal leads on the 6412 .

Has anybody came up with a work around to activate these ports so I can enjoy the full abilities of this combo?

 

P.S.

I am not trying to imply copy protection piracy, I just want to be able to use what i have.
