I searched forever on how to install games into my razr v3c. I followed every program exactly and I wasn't able to enable kjava and the only tools that connected to the phone was MPT and P2K Commander. Finally, I figured out that my (as well as the other) razr v3c cell phone does not play JAVA. It plays something called BREW. When I went to Main Menu > Phone Status > Other Information > BREW Info, it says BREW Ver.3.1.2. Does anyone out there know how to upload BREW games to the phone through the USB port?

I use MPT to connect to my v3c no problem. you need to make sure you have run live update and have the current version. the drivers are located in [bold]C:\Program Files\mobile PhoneTools\Inf\W2K_XP_USB_Drivers[/bold] if you have it installed in the default location. for some of the other programs you may need futureDial's divers located at http://www.futuredial.com/support/download/USB_Drivers.htm

    Cheers!

Razr DOES indeed play java games...don't know what the hell BREW is, but I can't imagine you have a different java os than the rest of the razr world.

screenshot your camera with a digital camera and post it here

if you search around you can find programs to convert jar files to brew files. when i have a chance, i will post it here. brew is like java CE. it is a development platform for Java, Flash and XML to run on very small computers such as PDAs and wireless devices. Made by Qualcomm.

it is very likely that he does. the verizon/alltel razor (v3[bold]c[/bold])is completely different than the traditional razr out there for gsm providers. you cannot flash/flex a cdma razr with gsm software. most skins won't work on it, and obex is disabled by the carrier. there are a lot of other differences, but you can search and find that. check out http://www.motomodders.net/ and http://www.howardforums.com

check out this article for more info on brew:

new to this forum... just purchased two (2) V3c's from Verizon to find that they are modified/locked-down. seems to be a little miss representation by Verizon... I am looking over all the aggreement and web pages to see if this modification to the OS is stated. Also looking into the possibility of re-enabling some/all of the oem OS capabilities. Using MPT to sync, but image/ringtone is inhibited. ...pav
