I have read most of the forum post regarding Mobile Phone Tools and P2k. I have tried this several times with no success. The Mobile Phone Tools program installs and I selected the driver P2K but it still does not recognize the phone. After installing all it says on the the phone Intializing.....

Now that I have tried this several times uninstall/reinstall, now the usb port does not recognize the new hardware to try other software. Mobile Phone Tools doesn't even let you select a driver file in the installation now ( only lets you go back or cancel) which does nothing for me.

Is there a way to make the usb port unassigned again where it will say "Found new hardware"?

Am I missing a step here: 1st Get P2k Driver. Install Mobile Phone Tool. Select USB > then plug phone in> then specify driver file> then finish install setup. After I do this the Phone on the desktop still shows Intiallizing... and nothing happens after a couple of minutes.

I have Windows XP service pack 2. Any help would be appreciated. And "Yes" I have read the forums. I have been working on this the last 2 hours.

    Thanks :)

Are you sure you install the MPT of the oldies version, then update it with the language pack and update one more time when you launch the program?

Gave up on MPT and P2k. Found a software that loaded with no problems. It has worked fine so far. The name of the software is DataPilot and it has the drivers already built in.
