Motorola V3r code?

Hi all,

A complete 'newby' here, so please bear with me.

Can anyone out there in technical land help me with this one? My wife's Motorola V3 is locked and appears to be requesting a 'subsidy code', is there any way of obtaining this code for free? I really begrudge paying for anything more than I have to, these phone company's make such a profit from us Sim card users.

Apparently the IMEI number is important? It's 354781013114209

If anyone can help me I'd be really grateful. I'm a bit of a technophobe you see - have trouble programming the video recorder!! )

even try with your own provider to whom the fone is locked to and tell them you need a nac access code
(network access code)
