    Hello,

Actaully my mouse pointer blinks, hangs up very frequently and goes into wait state and then switches to its original state and then goes to the wait state and this continues until and unless I shut down my computer.
I feel its because of some virus.

Plz someone help me out because its very irritating.

    Thank you

Let's assume it's a wireless mouse and the batteries are fresh. For w2k and xp, go into device manager and double click on "mice and other pointing devices" and check for conflicts.
Personally i'd un-install the mouse driver, make a restart then re-install then restart the pc again, and see what happens. Are we to understand that you do have an Antivirus program and you have scanned for any nasties that might be lurking?
    Howd you go?

Why it's happening, who can tell at this stage. Right click on the "my computer" icon and select "properties"
Now select "hardware" then "device manager" and do as suggested above. just sort through the tabs and go from there.
It is important that a full pc restart be done afterwards for any changes to take effect.
    Post back when done.
