Movie does not open....

    Downloaded a movie which neither MPC nor VLC opens. On VLC it says open in Windows MP. Since I do not wish to be imposed upon by Windows in using their products is there any other way to go about it? Tks

    I am not sure what you mean by "On VLC it says open in Windows MP". If VLC will not open, then you either have a corrupt/incomplete file,or a junk file(you can get that on fake torrents, they want you to download some useless player or codec, or is some virus/spam crap)

    I suppose your right cos VLC on opening says Use Windows Media Player...Codec error.
