movie files to dvd

I have a movie file which is 6.7gb,how do I get it onto a dvdr, any help would be greately appreciated, as I am brand new at this

 

You can compress is with DvdShrink 3.1 and write it to a DVD with Nero. Guides for both programs can be found on this site under the "guides" tab.

Oh and one more thing, don't go for the cheapest DVD-R discs you can find, they usually don't work too well.
