I have successfully backed up several of my movies but why at the end of the compressed movie discs do they become grainy and dvd player's struggle to read them. I know compression could be the cause but I thought it would compress the whole movie not just the last 10 minutes or so. Can anyone shed some light on this please. Cheers.
If you had done a search of the forum you would have found many people asking the same question. 99% of the time it's crap media. Buy something better.
or, you could tell us more for example the program u used? your burner? help us to help you... simple Dean
The various software I have used are :- DVD Shrink with Nero or DVD Decrypter and Intervideo DVD Copy (with AnyDVD). As for the discs I have used Infiniti, Mirror and Verbatim discs (both plus and minus).
i am not claiming to be an expert and i dont often use DVDShrink but i have before and i have heard people talking about the same problem with pixelation.... but i will try to help your best bet is minus media it is better for movies and video, also try using mirror or verbatim, never heard of infiniti....... also if i were u (not to put anyone down) i would (i do) use CloneDVD and AnyDVD and there are trials available on the SlySoft website to see if you like them, if you do... then by them they are worth the money believe me but use the older version (well i do and it works perfect) 1.3.36 or sumthing like that let us no if we helped
