I was wondering how you can get a full length movie (90-240mins) onto a single disc, I have seen it done before where the length of the film shows it's like 14minutes but the whole film is on there. How would i go about doing this? thanks in advance
The rules are: - you can put aboout 80' of movie on a VCD - you can put up to 120' of movie on a KVCD 'VCD quality'(depending on its quality: 'VCD type' is about 120', but you can use different templates and adjust better the trade-off movie quality/max length on a single CD: you go from 90' to 360') You can get the KVCD templates for TMPGenc on http://kvcd.net/dvd-models.html (on NTSC: KVCD ULBR 352x240, KVCD LBR 352x240, KVCD 'VCD quality' 352x240, KVCD 'higher quality' 352x480, KVCDx2 704x480, KVCDx3 528x480, KSVCD NTSC Film 352x576, KDVD Half 352x480, KDVD Full 720x480). Please note that KVCD quality, a little inferior than VCD's is judged on this forum 'poll' as 'good' since you gain a fill movie on a single CD without losing too much quality. The usage of these templates is a little tricky, because they only make the video part (M1V/M2V). After that you must Multiplex (TMPGenc__MPEG Tools:__Simple Multiplex, as type choose Video-CD Non Standard) the video part (M1V for a KVCD, M2V for a KSVCD) with the audio of a MPEG movie (that may be either the original one or a standard VCD made from the input .AVI even with TMPGenc's Motion Prevusion 'Lowest Quality (fast)' because you onlt use the sound part of that video.
