moving software to external hard drive

    topic pretty much sums it up.i want to move all my software that i don't have discs for onto my external,reinstall os and move them back.can i do this without screwing up my software?

    You can move the file, but you'll have to reinstall the program(s) again.

    thank you.got it done.worked out well.was more nervous than anything because i lost the original discs to a 3 year old disc killer thinking they were movies.
