So MP3 is staying with us for the near future! But what is the minimum standard/qualitity that most radio stations expect to be using now and for the future? However, more importantly, what is over the hill and yet to appear as the "new format"?
I just posted a question on how to play these files, so they are not so common yet, but..... shortened files (*.shn) seem to be something to keep an eye on. Totally lossless compression. Absolutely kills MP3 in every aspect except size (shn can sometimes still be large). go to etree.org to learn more!!! P.S. If you try it and can get winamp5.0 or something else to play it, let me know.....I have to dig around the internet for winamp 3.0 or 2.0 and add a plug in it seems...
try furthurnet.org as well to get some great music to download (and you dont need to worry about the RIAA)
