I have a audio track in one MP3 file, length A-B-C-D-E in total.
I am interested to do a cut, paste and join.

    What software would you recommend?

Let say I wanna cut out from point C to D and rejoint A-B-E.
How do I do it? Any software able to do that?

And the same time perhaps, I just want point C to D of the MP3 audio.
How do I copy this portion out as a new MP3 file?

Hope you guys is able to help. Thanks.

P.S. A detail 'How to do it' would help. Thank you very much in advance. :)

    Thank you. <Devenec>
    .

When it is saved, what format is it saved into, that needs to be Exported to MP3. Could other software be used for the export/convert besides Lame on the edited saved file?

    Thank you again.

One thing to keep in mind, Audacity is going to [bold]reencode[/bold] the file that you save. It is always best to get a program that doesn't reencode the file. MP3DirectCut is a free program that will work for you. You can get here.
