Hi, I use nero all the time to burn mp3 files to cd with an 80 minute maximum playing time and then play them on ordinary cd players and in my car. everything works fine... but now i have used nero to burn a specific mp3 disc and got over 100 songs on one cd-r. This works perfectly on my pc but not on ordinary cd players or in the car. Anyone know how i can re-record it so it plays in the car? just want to reduce the clutter of discs i have in there! lol Many Thanks,
It's not the recording that's the problem...your cd players need to be able to support the MP3 CD format. I guess your's don't. There are plenty that now do.
i have alreay recorded mp3's to cd-r'ss one album at a time and they worked? i take it that when i record mp3's to a cd-r in the usual 80 minute format it converts the files so they play on anything. where as when i lump loads of them onto one disc it doesn't convert them, hence them not playing.... can any one tell me if i am right here? many thanks
Yes - you created an 'audio CD' which will create a regular length recording. When you created an 'MP3 CD' it let you add lots of MP3s because they stay compressed on the CD and it is a function of the CD player that can identify them and play them. These players usually have an 'MP3' marking on them.
