mp3 splitter

    Hi, I got a very large dj mp3 file that goes for 1hr and 12 mins. And i want to split it into smaller part songs, not just evently parted files but specific song part files. If u know wat i mean. Can some 1 recomend me a good program which can do that?

    two good ones are mp3 surgeon or mp3 splitter and joiner. do a google search for the album and its "cue" file. if you can find its cue file that will contain all the times for each song, so the above programs can automatically split the file, instead of you having to do it manually.

    download polderbits sound recorder and editor and use the editor to split the tracks. it detects the silent bits between the songs and automaticly splits it into tracks. i've been using it to record entire records and split them into tracks and works 99% of the time.

    i know but you can get about 4 weeks out of it then u just download it again and works again.

    I checked out that PolderbitS software and It's really good but how do you get it to automatically detect the silent parts? I just went through and cut the songs manually, but your way seems easier. I can't figure it out though. Thanks

    there is a button with a picture of a pair of sicssors click on that and it should auto-split for you.Then you can name each track and save them.
