Hello Does anyone know a good program that will tag an MP3 from the FreeDB but split the information so that the 'ARTIST' field gets the Artist info and the 'TITLE' field gets the Title info. At the moment I am using AudioTagsEditor and most of the info that comes back is in the form of 'ARTIST' field = Various Artists and 'TITLE' field = Name of song - Artist. I do not want the Title to include the artist as well as the song title. Any help/info would be appreciated. Thanks Ste
there are free taggers out there that are supposedly decent, such as Mp3Tag. But the best one I have come across and have used for years is called Tag&Rename. If you have an album with various artists, there is an option to check when connecting to the freedB so it will decifer the artist/track and tag the mp3 appropriately, instead of having "various artist" in the artist line. I think the app comes with a free 30 day trial, so give it a try...if you like it its well worth the $30 to register it. but you should be able to use it free for 30 days.
