    Hello all!
This is my first post! My problem is the following:
When I rip to either MP3 or WMA any live CD, where one song merges into the other during applause, as soon as the number of the track changes there is an instant of silence instead of smoothly flowing to the next track. Is there a way or tool to eliminate that instant of silence?

Maybe the answer has already been posted but since I just discovered this forum I have not had the chance to investigate it thoroughly. If that is the case please forgive me and direct me to that post.

Thanks very nuch in advance for any advice.

    Tro

I'm not sure about wmas as I don't use them, but all mp3s have a very short gap at the end of the song. Unfortunately there is no way to get rid of it, it has to do with the way the file is encoded. The good news is that there are plugins for winamp that counteract this problem, and can play an album seamlessly through.

    Hello again!

Thank you Djscoop for your answer.
I will now focus on the wma files, which do the same thing. I am using Windows Media Player 9 to rip CDs to wma. I then want to transfer them to my 2Gb Panasonic SV-MP020 Digital Audio Player which handles mp3 and wma files. I am not interested at all in burning CDs.
Does anyone know if there is a solution to this problem for wma files?

Thanks in advance and Happy New year 2007 to all!

    Tro
