I recently bought the YP-T6, and it is a fabulous MP3 player. But, I think I might've "broken" it.

You see, I tried to delete some files on my MP3 player one night, and it refused to delete and the explorer hung up on me. So I rebooted, and tried again. Still didn't work. Those files I tried to delete were NOT .mp3 files, they were java files which I kept for my programming class. I used my MP3 player as a USB Drive too, and this feature is supported.

When I start-up the MP3 player, it shows it has 0.00GB of Memory left, as if it's either full or didn't have any memory to begin with. However, when I plug in the MP3 player, I still have all my old songs etc on the drive, I just can't modify or delete them, but I can play them and they work 100%. Strange.

So my next step was to reformat. I have tried over 20 times with different options, but it does not work. The bar either doesn't start in Quick Reformat, or the bar fills up but the process fails. In either case, it doesn't work and gives me an error.

I've tried "updating my firmware" with the provided updater BUT, it seems my firmware is MORE updated than the Samsung site has! Regardless, I updated anyway. Stupid idea. It didn't work. If I can't reformat, how could I update?

Any suggestions before I send it in for repair?
