Why do my MP3's of the Opie & Anthony Show sound okay when I play them on my computer (24 bit rate) but sound crappy when I burn them (with Roxio 5) and play them on my CD player? How do I remedy this? HELP!
The lower the bitrate, the lower the quality sound m8. Can you record these files digitally with your sound card? I rip& encode my waves at 192 VBR using EAC (Exact Audio Copy) with Lame MP3 Encoder
The files are pretty long (3 to 4 hours). I don't want to have to record them through my sound card in real time. I don't understand...Why do these 24 bit rate files sound okay when I play them on my computer, but when I burn them onto CD, they sound crappy. Is that my only option? I realize the lower the bit rate the suckier the quality (real technical, right?), but why does the quality diminish when I burn them using Roxio?
Well I don't endorse transcoding, but 24 bit audio encoding is pretty low m8. Most people who encode just "voice" usually go 128. I would try one and encode digitally at 192 VBR using Lame MP3 Encoder and see if you really can tell a "significant" differance in audio quality.
