Mp4

I have a new Mp4 player. I have only had it for about a week. It was working perfectly fine but now I go to upload music and it says it uploads the music to the Mp4 but when I go to play the music I click the music icon then it says initalizing and then it goes back to the main menu. Is that because the music files are not getting uploaded. Also how do I convert mp3 files to avi or mp4 files? Please let me know.

All I had to do before it started acting weird was to plug the USB cord into my computer and then there was a program that came with it but I heard you can open my computer and you can drag and drop music into the folder where your Mp4 is hooked up to and it should upload to your MP4
